Son of John Ede and Charlotte Ede.

Frederick was born on 12th May 1801, and baptised on the 15th May 1801, at St Mary & Nicholas Church, Leatherhead, Surrey.

He married Frances Mary Webb on 6th June 1827 at St Augustine Church, Eythorne, and they had 4 children. Their wedding was witnessed by John Webb and Ellen Ede.

Frances then sadly died in January 1836, aged just 29 years old.

After the death of Frances, Frederick remarried to Caroline Bailey (a spinster), on 21st December 1836, at Ss Peter and Paul, Eythorne, and they had 8 children. Their wedding was witnessed by William Paine and Ellen Ede.

I believe that one child was born and died in 1836/1837 (before the GRO register started) and then a further three infants were born, and all sadly died (who are recorded on the register).

Lower Eythorne, in the Parish of Eythorne, on Thursday 29th September 1864, on the premises, by the direction of Mr Frederick Ede, retiring from business. The live and dead stock (and a list of animals and items), also a small quantity of household furniture and other effects. Catalogues may be had seven days before the sale, of the Auctioneer, East Studdale, Whitfield, near Dover. Sale punctually starts at one o'clock.
