Obituary:
"The Rev. Henry M. Schubert, 86, of 1225 Third St., Henry, died Friday morning, June 19, 1987 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born October 30, 1900, at Rutland to Vincent and Martha Seichter Schubert. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Francis Weber of Peoria, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Haas and Miss Gertrude of Henry, and one brother, Clement of Chillicothe. A graduate of St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, MN, on March 11, 1933, he was ordained into the priesthood at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria by Bishop Schlarmann. He was named assistant of St. Joseph's Parish in Peoria in 1933, and in 1939, pastor of St. Mary's Parish in Loretto. Beginning in 1941, he became pastor of St. Patrick's Parish in Washington, where he remained until his retirement in 1971. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Henry. Bishop Edward W. O'Rourke officiated, assisted by the Revs. Walter A. Bruening, Roger D. Noonan and Robert Hughes. Visitation was from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church in Henry, with rosary recited at 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Henry. Ries Mortuary was in charge of arrangements."

Brother of Frances (Schubert) Weber, Leo Julius Schubert, Ida Mae (Schubert) Balensiefen, Rose H (Schubert) Whitmer, Edward William Schubert, Mary J. Schubert 1894-1986, Dorothy Amelia (Schubert) Haas, Gertrude Schubert, Clement H. Schubert and George Schubert. Gertrude never married and kept house for Father Schubert over the years.
