Marie Stephens, 101 years old, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was born on March 26, 1921 in Adair County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Oscar and Laura Alley Smiley. Marie was also preceded in death by her husband, C.C. Stephens in 2001.
In her spare time, Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, going to garage sales, gardening and playing Bingo. Marie is survived by three children: J.C. Stephens, Charlotte (Bob) Streib and Shelly Stephens. Three grandchildren: Ronnie Denham, Tammy Kitterman and Shelby Moore, several great and great-great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews, and one sister and two brothers. In addition to her parents and her husband, Marie was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers and a grandson. A special thank you to the hospice staff of Intrepid USA for all of your continued support and help during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Jessen & Keller Funeral Home, 729 N US Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN with a service beginning at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
