Faye Josephine "Faye J" Kopa, 58, of the 800 block of Cambridge Ave., passed away Jan. 11, 2008, in her residence. She was born in Akin, S.C., to the late Martin and Louise Lowe Sr. Faye was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Painter; a sister, Cathy Ensley; and two brothers, Martin E. Lowe Jr. and John Lowe. She is survived by the love of her life, Dale Prescott; three daughters, Teresa Long and fiance Robert Abrahams of Currituck, N.C., Samantha Johnson and husband Tony of Portsmouth and Wanda Sanchez and husband Gabriel of Portsmouth; a son, David M. Long and wife Lynn of Currituck; a sister, June Sanders of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Steve Bowden. Burial will be immediately following in Moyock Cemetery, Moyock, N.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at 4000 Cedar Lane in Portsmouth at any time before the funeral services.
