DELBERT BANNING DEAD March 25, 1875 – September 4, 1936
Another former resident of Wauneta passes away. Delbert Banning died Friday, September 4, at his home near Neodesha, after an illness of about a year. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Winter Green of the Cedar Vale Baptist church, at the Round Mound church, and burial was made in the Round Mound, cemetery. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Appleby and Mr. and Mrs. Earl West. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.

He leaves a wife and seven children: Mrs. Golda Crew, Cedar Vale; Lonzo Banning, Elk City; Leoma Banning, Neodesha; Mrs. Eula Pumpelly, Sedan; Mrs. Edith Reed, near Sedan; Luther and Boyd, Neodesha; several grandchildren; also five brothers and two sisters, Manfred Banning, Garden City; Ed and Everett Banning, Wauneta; Tom Banning, Lowe; Ralph Banning; rural Sedan; Mrs. Rosa Cummings, Bartlesville; and Mrs. Linna Myers, rural Sedan, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
