Reed, 88, of Sedan, formerly of Peru, died Sunday at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Havana Cemetery.Visitation hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Graves Funeral Home, Caney.Memorials are suggested to Pleasant Valley Manor, Sedan, and they may be left with the funeral home.Mrs. Reed was born Aug. 14, 1911, at Wauneta, to Delbert and Etha (Myers) Banning. She was reared in Wauneta, where she also attended school. She married Alfred "Winnie" Reed, and they later divorced. She lived in Peru for many years and later moved to Sedan.Survivors include three sons, Harold Reed Sr. and Marvin "Bud" Reed, both of Peru, and Carl Reed, Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Peggy Ballard, San Pablo, Calif., and Deena O'Keefe, Richmond, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

CANEY — Edith C. Reed, 88, of Sedan, formerly of Peru, died Sunday at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Havana Cemetery.

Visitation hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Graves Funeral Home, Caney.

Mrs. Reed was born Aug. 14, 1911, at Wauneta, to Delbert and Etha (Myers) Banning. She was reared in Wauneta, where she also attended school. She married Alfred "Winnie" Reed, and they later divorced. She lived in Peru for many years and later moved to Sedan.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Reed Sr. and Marvin "Bud" Reed, both of Peru, and Carl Reed, Odessa, Texas; two daughters, Peggy Ballard, San Pablo, Calif., and Deena O'Keefe, Richmond, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
