February 23, 1945 - July 6, 2022 Alvin Owens, age 77, passed away Wednesday July 6, 2022 at his home. Alvin was born February 23, 1945 in Perry county, son of the late Watson Owens and the late Polly Jane Bush Owens.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Adron Owens, Elmer Owens, Arvil Owens, and Kenneth Owens; two sisters, Bessie Cornett and Geneva Thomas Stewart.
Alvin Owens leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Bobbie Jean Owens; Three Children, Richard D. Owens (Lydia), Carla M. Owens Spencer (Brian), and Harlan A. Owens; four grandchildren, Daniel Joseph Owens, Adrian Spencer, Jessie Owens, and Riley Owens, and by 6-great grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Owens and Orson Owens (Kathy); two sisters, Georgia Coleman and Sharon Russell.
Visitation for Alvin Owens will be conducted on Sunday evening at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday July 11, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Chris Fugate officiating. Military rites being performed by the Hazard-Perry D.A.V. Chapter #64. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery located at Ary, Kentucky
