Helen Ruth Abernathy Satterfield, 96, of Cleveland, TN passed February 15, 2022, at Lifecare of Cleveland.
Born January 26, 1926, and spent most of her life in Spartanburg, SC. daughter of Grover Cleveland Abernathy (1890–1946) and Lonnie Mae McKittrick Abernathy (1891–1988); wife of the late Carl Satterfield.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Roberts; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; many loving nieces and nephews; and her longtime devoted best friend, Nancy Majors.
Last of her six siblings, Thomas Woodrow Abernathy (1914–1995), Jessie Lee Abernathy Jolley (1918–2013), Lois Abernathy Ford (1920-2018), Evelyn Grace Abernathy Hutchinson (1923-2008), Helen Ruth Abernathy Satterfield (1926-2002), Sarah Elizabeth Abernathy Cariens (1928–2008), Bernice Faye Abernathy Owens (1931–2014)
Helen helped many of her loved ones throughout her life journey and she will be missed.
