Frank was named after his grandfather and was the founder and former chairman of Black & Webster Inc, a machine tool maker in Waltham MA . He was a Trustee of the Holderness School, principal founder of the Squam Lake land Preservation Society, and helped fund the Museum of Fine Arts collection of colonial American musical instruments.
