Peggy Sanders, 80, of Robertsville, formerly of Desloge, passed away October 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born October 3, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Harold and Bernice (Sanders) Baker. Peggy attended the Friendship Baptist Church in St. Clair and was all about her family. She also started and was owner of A-1 Realty in Desloge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bernie Hertweck, Sr.; second husband, Willie Sanders; siblings, Don Baker, Rebecca Baker, Glenda Rash and Judy Goodson.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Bernie Hertweck, Jr and wife Jeanie, Jeff Hertweck and wife Jennifer, and Greg Hertweck; grandchildren, Bernie Joseph Hertweck III, Willis Wayne Sanders Hertweck, Brandi Ann Hertweck, Matt Wills, Vanessa, Dillion, Zachary, Amy, Amanda, Jett and Jayna Hertweck; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Flowers, Linda Cox, Kathy McGill, Gidget Conor, Ray, Ron, Terry, Glenn and Brian Baker; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor John Dover will be officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park.
