Faye was born in Bobtown, Kentucky on February 3rd, 1931, daughter of the late James Luther and Mary Zula Ping Eaton. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church for 60 years. Prior to that she attended Eden Baptist Church. She taught her children by example that "faithful" meant attending Church three times a week and participating in the work of the Church. Faye was a self taught pianist for the Church, playing for many years. After raising her children she went to work at Oakwood of Somerset and retired on May 1st, 1993.
Her hobbies included thrift store shopping and yard sales. She loved genealogy and her Bible study books. She enjoyed reading the newspaper and clipping articles. Faye especially loved reunions and fellowships with family, school friends, and Church family.
Faye was survived by four sons, Jerry (and Marlene) Jones, Roger Jones, Don (and Pam) Jones, and Jeff Jones; three daughters, Shirley (and Eddie) Hargis, Mary (and Alva) Hansford, and Glenda (and Tim) Price; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Luther Eaton, who departed this life on January 4th, 1966 and Mary Zula Eaton, who departed this life on September 9th, 1968; her loving husband, James Arlie "Tom" Jones, whom she married on August 6th, 1948 and who departed this life on August 11th, 1998; three brothers, Orvin Ellis "Bud" Eaton, Luther Vernon Eaton, and Donald Ray "Don" Eaton; three sisters, Geneva Eaton Ping, Norma Christine Eaton Epperson, and Glydus Marie Eaton Abbott; one son, Kenny Jones; two granddaughters, Brandy Jones and Natasha Jones; one great grandson, Cody Nix; and one great-great grandson, Avery Rhode.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 am to 2 pm with the funeral following. it will be officiated by Bro. Chris Jones and Bro. Scotty Nix. Burial will be at Pleasant View Baptist Cemetery.
