BAGDAD - Eaton, Orvin "Bud," 84, passed away. His wife, Doris, survives. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor, Frankfort, KY.

OBITUARY PROVIDED BY LECOMPTE-JOHNSON-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, FRANKORT, KY - 09/27/2011
Orvin "Bud" Eaton, 84, Bagdad, passed away Sunday evening at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Cummins will officiate. Burial will be in Bagdad Cemetery. A native of Bobtown in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late James Luther and Mary Zula Ping Eaton. He was formerly employed at Schenley Distillery, Frankfort (now Buffalo Trace) as a forklift operator; then, he became an employee with KY Workers Comp. and a farmer. He was a member of Indian Fork Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge Hiram #4 F&AM. He was also a World War II army veteran. "Bud" is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Doris Gibson Eaton, Bagdad; two sons, Jim Eaton (Elizabeth), Frankfort and Dan Eaton (Jane), Versailles; three sisters, Glydus Abbott (Ray), Christene Epperson (Ed) and Faye Jones all of Somerset; a brother, Donald Eaton (Ada), Somerset; two grandsons, Tom and Jesse Eaton (Brittany), Versailles and a step-grandson, Michael Cornman, Frankfort. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Vernon Eaton and a sister, Geneva Ping. Pallbearers will be Charles Jennings, Tom Eaton, Lannie Owens, Jesse Eaton, Michael Cornman, Chris LaLumandier. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 4:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or donations in his memory may be made to Indian Fork Baptist Church c/o Debbie Slattery 730 Hwy 12, Frankfort, KY 40601.
