BJ was blessed with 11 grandchildren (two decreased) and 18 great-grandchildren.
BJ worked many years side by side with his son Tim in residential and commercial HVAC installation/repair before starting his own business "Cochran Boom Service" in his retirement for "something to do".
In his younger years, you would know it was him coming down the highway by the sound of the 1963 Red Ford Galaxy he drove and continued to always have a classic car ready to roll in the garage. He did enjoy the sunshine and breeze motor boating his pontoon on Lake Tillery, road trips to dog races, NASCAR races, Cherokee and just about anywhere he and Brenda and Rex could get in the car and go. He never met a stranger and made a friend wherever he would go.
A special "Thank You" to the Hospice Care team for providing loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
