W. L. Barbare, Noted Sports Star, Is Dead
Walter Lawrence Barbare, 74, of Rt. 4, Travelers Rest, died yesterday at 10:20 a.m. in a Greenville nursing home after an illness of five months.
Mr. Barbare was a native of Greenville and a son of the late Alexander A. and Rose (Flynn) Barbare. He spent his entire life in Greenville and Travelers Rest and was a former coach at Parker High School.
He was interested in athletics, especially baseball
