Nancy Eloise Allison was born October 15, 1880. She departed this life May 6, 1934, age 53 years. Her death resulted from typhoid fever. She was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Alice Allison of St. Marys. She was born and raised in Pleasants county. She was a very successful school teacher, having taught many years. Loy was a wonderful girl and was loved by all who knew her. Her death was a shock to the community. Loy obeyed the Gospel and on July 10, 1932, was baptised by Evang. A. E. Harper. She was a studious and energetic worker, trying to improve her spiritual life, and always looking forward to the great reward that is promised only to the faithful. Loy is survived by her aged mother, and two sisters, Mrs. A. B. Pritchett of New Cumberland, WVa., and Kathryn at home, and two brothers, Ralph Allison of New Cumberland, and C. W. Allison at home, and a host of relatives and friends. Loy made her home for the last six years with her sister - in - law, Mrs. Opal Allison. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ on May 9, 1934, at 2:30 o'clock by Evang. A. E. Harper, and interment was made in the I O O F Cemetery, St. Marys.

Beneath our eyes she faded slowly
Growing day by day, more frail,
Bearing sweetly all her suffering,
Without murmur, moan or wail.

Sweetly rest from all thy labors,
Far from every grief and pain
We will often think about you,
While we here on earth remain.

When evening shades are falling
And we are sitting all alone,
To our hearts there comes a longing
If Loy only could come home.

Sleep, dear Loy, take thy rest,
God called thee home; he thought it best,
When we too shall cross the river,
And on earth no longer roam,
May we meet and live together,
Safe at last in that bright home. --- Opal Allison
