Ethel E. Carter, 88, of Greenville passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Coker-Mathews chapel with Rev. Danny Gandy officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Carter was born January 29, 1922 in Lampasas, Texas to A. G. “Bert” and Mary “Hudson” Atkinson Randall. On October 8, 1969 she married W. C. “Bill” Carter in Grapevine, Texas. She was retired from the State of Texas, (TOC) where she worked in security. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband; daughter-in-law; 2 step-daughters; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; grandson; 14 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Jake Goins; sons, Willis Dee Goins and James Roy Goins; brother, Earnest Lee Randall and sister, Mattie Floy Eddy.
