January 16, 1879
Died January 12, 1879 at 11 o'clock a.m., Aunt Laura Crane, of Center settlement in her 76th year. Another soldier of the cross has rested from her labors and has gone to reap her glorious reward in that better land where all is peace and happiness. The deceased was always one of the brightest lights in the M.E. Church; and one of the leading workers, and greatest helps to all ministers in their revival works. Her works were all well done, and she has left a life which we all should emulate to the best of our ability. We sincerely condole with the afflicted ones in their bereavement.
Married to Erastus Crane in Kirby, Caledonia Co, VT October 26, 1826. Sister of Clarissa Temple Haskell and Sabrina Temple Haskell Wishard.
