Daughter of James Mitchell (1777-1847) and Nancy (nee Sharp) Ralston (1785-1862). Married to Samuel Moorhead (b. ~1815, d. 1853). He was a colonel in the PA militia, a son of Fergus Moorhead and a grandson of pioneer Fergus Moorhead. Their children were James (b. ~1842), William (b. ~1844) and Clara (b. ~1852)
