Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Anfinson were held Friday afternoon, August 23, 1968, at the United Methodist Church in Cushing with Rev. Clair Kerns officiating. Interment was in the Cushing Cemetery under direction of Hansen-Barker Funeral Home of Holstein. Goldie Ellen Anfinson was born August 4, 1899, at Correctionville and passed away August 20, 1968, at her home in Cushing, aged 69 years and 16 days. She was the daughter of John and Mussetta Coon. She attended Correctionville school and taught school for five years near Correctionville. On June 21, 1922, she married Howard B. Anfinson and the couple lived their entire married life in Cushing. She was preceded by four brothers, two sisters, her parents and one grandchild. Survivors include her husband, two children, Raymond of Cushing and Delores Monfort of San Diego, California, seven sisters, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cushing, was active in the Ladies Aid and WSCS. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Correctionville and American Legion Auxiliary of Cushing. Burial: 23 August 1968, Cushing Cemetery, Woodbury Co., Iowa
