Carthage, Mo. -- Etta Naomi Wilson, 89, Carthage, a former Joplin and Sarcoxie resident, died at 7:49 pm Tuesday at a Carthage nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 9, 1903, at Cassville. She lived in Sarcoxie from 1933 to 1979 and in Joplin from 1979 to 1983. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She married John P. Wilson on July 14, 1918, at Butterfield. He died Dec. 10, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, two sons, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 pm Friday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, near Butterfield. The Rev. James Schnakenberg will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
