ELIZABETH C. OSBORNE, resident of Arlington, born December 10, 1917 died at her home on April 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Stanley D. Osborne, a lifelong resident of Arlington, and a daughter, Carol Ann Laney. Mrs. Osborne is survived by a son, Bill Lunamand of Memphis, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been an active member and Sunday School teacher for over 40 years at Arlington United Methodist Church; Arlington Civic Affairs, serving as an Alderperson on the Town Board, and worked in the office of Arlington City Hall. Mrs. Osborne wrote for the local Arlington newspaper and was awarded honorary membership in the Society for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities; and she was a 1935 graduate of Humes High School. Visita-tion will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 2 and service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with burial following in Arlington City Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Arlington United Methodist Church, Shrine Hospitals for Children or the donor's choice.
