Services for Mrs. Cena Belle (Chappell) Stone, 105, will be held at East Dyersburg United Methodist Church, Dyersburg, TN, on Friday, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jim Wolfgang officiating. Interment will follow in Mudville Cemetery, Rosemark, TN. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time for the service at the church.

Mrs. Stone was born to George W. and Sally Dunlap Chappell in Livingston County, KY on May 17, 1905. She and her family moved to Memphis, TN in 1928. She retired from Goldsmith's Department Store at the age of 72.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Montroe Stone; 3 brothers, Bill, Fred and Reece Chappell; 4 sisters, Jettie Gamblin, Elizabeth Osborne, Alva Stevens, Izetta Embry, and one granddaughter, Kelly Stone.

Surviving are her 3 children and spouses, George Verdelle Stone (Barbara) of Seneca, MO., Jo Elliott (Glenn) of Humboldt, TN. and Loretta Haley (Dick) of Shiloh, TN.; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Methodist in faith for her entire life, she was a member of East Dyersburg United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School, youth groups, and being involved in United Methodist Women, a Ladies Group being named in her honor. She had a great love for Mission work, never missing an opportunity to witness for her Lord up until the time of her death.

The family wishes to thank Rev. Jim Wolfgang for his countless visits, concern, and comfort, the caregivers of Maplewood Health Care Center for their loving care, and the many church friends and family, who always remembered her in special ways.
