Bore Musket in '63

Robert Cameron, Old Soldier and Cleveland Resident for Many Years, is Dead

Robert Cameron, a veteran of the civil war and formerly a businessman of this city, died at Lorain, O., yesterday afternoon in his sixty-eighth year.

Mr. Cameron served for five years in the civil war in the Twenty-first New York cavalry. He was a noncommissioned officer when mustered out at the end of the war.

Born in Canada, he came to Cleveland about thirty-five years ago. Until about three years ago he had conducted a harness store on Detroit street. His residence at the time was at 81 Vienna-st. Three years ago Mr. Cameron moved to Lorain, where he resided up to the tme of his death.

He was a member of the Pathfinders and of the Bankers' Fraternal Union.

He is survivied by a widow, three sons [Frederick W., Robert Bruce Jr., and Ariel Don] and three daughters.

Only the three daughters live in Cleveland. They are: Mrs. Frank [Jennie Virginia] Lynett, Mrs. S.K. [Kate May] Elliot and Mrs. Charles [Martha Belle] Squire.

The funeral will be held from the residence of Mrs. S.K. Elliot, 175 South Boulevard, Thursday, at 2 o'clock. Burial will take place in Lakeview cemetery.
