Abednego was the 6th son of Meshak Dunkley (1777-1858) and Elizabeth nee Billingham 1779-1841. He was a carpenter and joiner in the village all his life. He married Sarah Wood at Blisworth on 8th September 1847. They had 4 daughters and one son (Elizabeth Sarah Ann b1849, Emily b 1852, Annie b1854, Sarah b1856 later Mrs Robert Hatfield, and William Thomas b1860) He died at Blisworth in 1884 . There is no tombstone to mark the grave.
