Opal C. Cawley, 96, of Springfield died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Auburn Nursing and Rehab. She was born Jan. 31, 1910, in Beecher City, the daughter of Frank and Mamie Phillips. She married Clifford J. Cawley in Peoria; he preceded her in death. Three infant children also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cawley was a member of the First Christian Church and the Red Hat Society. She was a past board member and president of the Residence Council at Auburn Nursing and Rehab.
Survivors: three daughters; four sons; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and stepsister, Gerri Jaronski of Springfield.
Services: First Christian Church. Interment: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
