Funeral services for W. R. Snyder, 71, who died last night at Druid City Hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Church on the Watermelon Road with the Rev. F. B. Atkins officiating and Dr. R. D. Cook assisting.
Interment will be in the Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Spigener.
A resident of Northport, Mr. Snyder had been employed by Tuscaloosa County for the past 40 years as a bridge foreman and had also been a farmer for many years. He was a member of the Mt. Paran Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Mrs. Frances J. Snyder; a daughter, Mrs. Dayton Powell, and two grandchildren, Billy and Jimmy Powell, all of Northport; a sister, Mrs. Mittie Rushing, also of Northport; and several nephews and nieces.
Active pallbearers will be Eugene Snyder, Robert Snyder, John Bell, Clarence Christian, John Rushing, Herbert Flora, all nephews of the deceased.
