Parents are thought to be Jonas Quimby II and Ms Bradley, although no proof has been found.
Burrell & Beauregard were left orphans during the Civil War. They were placed in the 'Sheltering Arms Orphanage' in Mobile Ala. The Orphanage burned and all records were destroyed.
Beauregard was placed with Marshall & Rachel Dudley of Mobile, AL, who moved to Vancleave, MS where Marshall received a land grant of 160 acres in Sec 23 T5 R7 located across from Magnolia Baptist Church on River Rd. Beauregard, Marshall & Rachel Dudley and Enoch & Celia Sumrall are buried in the Church cemetery. Marshall deeded the property to Beauregard Nov 28, 1886.
Beauregard made his living and supported his family as a charcoal burner, working in the Pascagoula River swamp where he is believed to have died from a heart attack at the age of 44 years.
