Anna is the daughter of John Fred Poppin (1872-1967) and Parasha Andreyovna Bogdanov (1870-1907). She was born in Salim, Kars, Russia. She is one of six known children: Alex, Nicholas, Fred, Anna, William, and Hazel. Anna's mother died at sea giving birth to her sister Hazel "Hanya". Her father went back to Russia and married Hazel Nicholas Seminoff. Her father and step-mother had eight children: John, Alice, James, Nell, Mary, George, Hazel, Dorothy.
She married Alex Nick Seminoff on 26 Jan 1915 in San Francisco, CA. Their children were John, Nick, Elsie, Nick, William, and Nora. Nick died in Arizona in 1918 from influenza and Elsie died as an infant about 1922.

ANNA POPPIN SEMINOFF
She was short, pleasant, worked in a laundry...What I remember most of Anna is that she always brought sweet "goodies" with her when she visited us on the farm...I'll never forget one time she brought a lot of sweet-bitter "horehound" candies and they were awful...another time she and Uncle Alex would go to the Crystal Palace Market on 8th and Market Streets and purchase "broken chunks" of milk chocolate ...a great treat. I often visited her place on Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa on our summer weekend jaunts to the Russian River dances at Summer Home Park and Rio Nido for her son John and I were very close.
Anna became a Jehovah Witness and remained one until she died...no one heard of her death and we were quite surprised to learn that she had passed away.
