LINCOLN - Mrs. Laura Edyth Koster, 77, of Middletown, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Mrs. Koster was born in Menard County, June 29, 1888 [sic], a daughter of William and Eva Perce Sturgis.
Her marriage to Herman Koster took place Nov. 27, 1907 at Springfield. He died May 5, 1961.
Surviving are two sons, Harold, of East Peoria; and Paul, of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Stone, of Greenview; and Mrs. Laura Boyer, of Middletown; a brother, Lewis Sturgis, of Selma, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Arta Johnson, of Middletown; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Irish Grove Presbyterian Church near Middletown.
Burial was in Irish Grove Cemetery.
