Harold Koster, 62, of 905 Springfield Road, East Peoria, died at Methodist Medical Center at 8:15 a.m. yesterday.
He was born in Menard County on May 18, 1915, the son of Herman and Edythe Sturgis Koster.
He married Daisy Mae Downs at Roodhouse on Sept. 24, 1949. She died Jan. 10, 1969.
Mr. Koster was a veteran of World War II and a member of UAW Local 974 Retirees.
He worked as an oiler for Caterpillar Tractor Co.
Surviving are a stepson, Eugene McEvers, of Libertyville; three step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Stone, of Greeenview; and a brother, Paul Koster, of Springfield.
A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Memoria may be made ot the Peoria-Tazewell Heart Fund.
Services were at Schmidt Funeral Parlor.
Burial was in Fernwood Cemetery at Roodhouse.
