Dorothea (Dora) is the daughter of Frederik Soren Christensen or Sorensen and Sophia Walbum.

She married Lorenzo Heber Kimball on 22 Feb. 1888, Logan Temple, Cache Co., Utah. They are the parents of ten children; Mary Leona, Heber Chase, Verona (Verna) Lyle, Frederick Clair, Lenore, Iris, Lorenzo (Deno) Woodruff, Elmer, Ruth and Ray Sorenson Kimball.

"KIMBALL, DOROTHY (Dorothea) SORENSEN ~ Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy (Dorothea) Sorensen Kimball, 60 (59), wife of Lorenzo Kimball, who died Wednesday evening at the family residence, 2651 Third East street, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the First ward chapel. The body may be viewed at the family residence between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day of the services."

Mrs. Kimball was a native of Mantua, Utah. Surviving are her husband and five (six) children; Mrs. C. W. (Verna) Archer, (Mrs. Frank (Lenore) Farrington), Mrs. Jack (Iris) Kelly, Fred C., Lorenzo W. and Ray S. Kimball. Three sisters also survive; Mrs. A. F. (James) Jensen and Mrs. W.B. (Via) Butler, Salt Lake; Mrs. Harry (Absolom P.) Free, Ashton, Idaho."

Cause of Death: "Rupture of aortic aneurism"
Prior to Dora's death she went to visit relatives in Idaho. On the way home they were in a buggy accident. It is believed that her injuries contributed to the cause of her death. After the accident, she spent much of her time in bed.

"My Mother was one of the sweetest women that ever lived. She had more suffering and more to contend with than most people have ever thought of, but she always came up smiling. She was so brave and courageous. She was faithful and true and tried to teach us children to be the same. She was very pretty. She was short and slender with lovely blue eyes and light brown hair. She could manage her home wonderfully on hardly nothing at all and always made everyone so welcome. Everyone loved her and she had lots of friends."

"Dora was clever and resourceful. When she was unable to buy new clothing for her children, she got used adult clothing, cut it apart, and used the fabric to make attractive new garments for her children. She also did beautiful china painting."
