"Via" is the daughter of Frederik Soren Christensen and Sophia Walbum.

Via and William Bridges Butler were married January 30, 1900, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. They were married by Bishop William Thorn at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Witnesses were good friends Charles and Laura Robinson. [Source: FHL US/CAN Film (429,057, Book J, Page 200, #8998)

Via's sister Dora wrote that Via had blue eyes and light brown hair. From the Family History of her Grand Daughter, Jean: She was under five feet tall. "When Will told his family that he had chosen the woman he wanted to marry, one of his siblings asked, 'Is she Tall?' ... Will replied, No, she's little but she's so damn cute.' Will's affectionate nickname for his wife was Chump."

Via and William were the parents of four children: Frederick William Butler; Sophia Cleone Butler, Shore; John Edward Butler and Jane Rowan, a stillborn who died January 11, 1909.

She left a legacy of love and strength!

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 23, at the Oakland 4th Ward. Bishop Leland H. Wright, officiating.
