"When Will told his family that he had chosen the woman he wanted to marry, one of his siblings asked, 'Is she Tall?' ... Will replied, No, she's little but she's so damn cute.' Will's affectionate nickname for his wife was Chump."
Via and William were the parents of four children: Frederick William Butler; Sophia Cleone Butler, Shore; John Edward Butler and Jane Rowan, a stillborn who died January 11, 1909.
