Samuel Reichelt - Spokane Memorial service for Samuel L. Reichelt is planned for 10 a. m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Mr. Reichelt, a retired heavy-equipment operator, died Monday. He was 80. He was born in Greenland, S. D., and moved to Spokane 49 years ago. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 36 and the Bare's Quares and other dance clubs. He was also a golden eagle of Eagles Aerie 2. His wife, Bernice H. Reichelt preceded him in death on Nov. 23. Survivors include four daughters, Sheila L. Mahler of Santa Clara, Calif., Sharon L. Winnett of Vacaville, Calif., Sandra L. Reynolds of Flint, Mich., and Sari L. Reichelt of Spokane; a son, Steve L. Reichelt of Spokane; a sister, Rosie Finton of Morgan Hills, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, N 900 Maple, Spokane 99207; to the Inland Empire Diabetes Association, PO Box 1763, Spokane 99210; or to the charity of one's choice.
Body given to Univ. of Wash. Box 125 Palouse, Washington 99161 for medical department. Was cremated two years later. Ashes were scattered in the little Spokane River, Spokane, Washington. Sheila Mahler, Steve Reichelt, and Sari Reichelt attended the ceremony. Samuel lived in Spokane, WA in 1969.
