Ruth Zahringer, 92, Lakeside, CA, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, July 21, 2008.
She was born June 16, 1916, in Preston, MO, a daughter of Daniel Hartnett and Leona Lindsey Hartnett. On October 23, 1938, in Sedalia, she was married to John Henry Zahringer, Jr. who died June 25, 1998.
She was educated in Hickory County. After graduating high school, she moved to Sedalia. She lived in Sedalia until 2006, when she moved to the state of California to be near her sister. While living in Sedalia, she was a faithful member of First Christian Church. She was a credit manager for Montgomery Ward and later worked in the office at Adco, from where she retired.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Hoermann, of Lakeside, CA; a sister in law, Euphemia Zahringer, of Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Hartnett and Dee Hartnett; and two sisters, Cleo Hartnett and Icel Brown.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Keith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. until service time.
