Nellie Rose Jones Benge, 79, of Morroco, Ind., formerly of London, Ky., passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her residence.
She is survived by her children, Pamela (Larry) Nicholson of London, George P. (Glenda) Benge of Russelville, Ark., Marcia (Bill) Johnson of Morocco Ind., Terry (Gail) Benge of Gary Ind., Alan (Gloria) Benge of Valparaiso Ind., and Michele (Robert) Christensen of Morocco Ind.; her loving sisters, Betty Sandlin of London, Judy Sasser of Lily and Peggy (Wayne) Nicholson of London.
She had 18 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Benge; parents, Grace and John B. Jones; sisters, Phyllis Frazier, Marna (Kay) McCulley; and brother, Don Jones.
Funeral service for Nellie Rose Jones Benge will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Ray Cowan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gilbert Family Cemetery, Laurel County.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, also at the funeral home.
