Frank LaBelle presents a $1,000 gift to Bernice Vaughn, vice president of the Iron County chapter of the American Red Cross, earmarked for the local chapter's disaster fund. LaBelle made the gift in memory of his wife Helen, who died on March 24, 1988. "She would see on TV news about volcanoes, floods or earthquakes," LaBelle explained, "and she would say, 'Those poor people-they lost everything.'" LaBelle also made a $500 donation to the Salvation Army office.

OBITUARY of Walter Tass 2008 (buried Resthaven) says Frank LaBelle is his stepbrother.

OBITUARY of Joseph LaBelle 2007 says Frank LaBelle was his brother.

INFORMATION from Marilyn Budzak says her father Floyd Freghetto worked with Frank as a grader and snowplower for the county doing US2 to the Gogebic County line. Frank's wife was always doctoring for something and would pack him slim lunches, so Freghetto would bring extra food for Frank. He was somewhat of a pack rat with pathways through his house.
