Bee Williams, 75, died Tuesday, December 2 in Highland Regional Medical Center after an illness of several months. Son of the late Thomas and Margarett Brown Williams, he was born September 25, 1900, in Johnson County and was a resident of Leander at the time of his death. He was a retired employee of Newport News Ship Bulding Dry Dock Company of Newport News, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Dotson Williams, on August 31, 1967. Surviving are seven sons, Orville and Billy of Tipp City, OH, Paul of Fairborn, Jack of New Carlisle, Richard and Bobby Joe of Troy, OH, and Kenneth of Hager Hill; four daughters, Mrs. John J. Green of Hampton, VA, Mrs. Dennis Snelling of Newport News, VA, Mrs. Chester Ward of Denver and Mrs. Winfer Scott of Leander, a sister, Mrs. Lou Pelphrey of Paintsville; 43 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, December 5 in the Freewill Baptist Church at Collista with Reverends Bruce Daniel, Ellis Hamilton and Melvin Blanton officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Collista with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements. The grandsons served as pallbearers.
