Marguerite Kubik Enderud

Marguerite Kubik Enderud was born at Caldwell, Kansas, September 30, 1909, She was the fourth of five children born to Daniel E. and Millie Bobek Kubik. Marguerite died on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1989, at Wesley Hospital, Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, one month and 23 days.

Marguerite was a life-long resident of Caldwell and was devotedly close to both of her parents throughout their lives. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and attended one year each at Kansas State University and Oklahoma A&M. She was active in school activities and organizations. A skilled pianist, Marguerite often served as accompanist to vocal groups, beginning in high school and well into her later years.

She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church, the auxiliary of the Anti-Theft Association and the "Busy Bee" Sewing Club. She was also an avid quilter and often joined women of the Methodist Church in that activity.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her mother and father and a brother, Fred Kubik. She is survived by her three brothers, Ted of Caldwell, Ben of Wichita and Karl of Scottsdale, Arizona. She will be missed by them and by her many friends.

The funeral service was held at the Schaeffer Mortuary, Caldwell, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 25, followed by the committal service at the Caldwell City Cemetery. M. Russell Jolly, First Presbyterian Church, officiated.
