MUSCATINE, Iowa — Leota Isora Pulliam, 87, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.

The Rev. Jeff Petersen will officiate. Casketbearers will be Bill Faler, Charles Coulter, Mark Faler and Jeramie Milder. Burial will be at Peniel Cemetery. Following the committal servies at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Mrs. Pulliam was born July 12, 1921, the daughter of Adam L. and Pearl (Karnes) Thurston in Wilton. She married William T. Pulliam on June 22, 1940, in Muscatine. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing bingo and cards, but most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her family.

She will be missed by her daughter, Linda Sue Coulter and husband, Charles of New Boston, Ill.; four grandchildren, Pam Faler of Muscatine, Cindy Petersen of Muscatine, Wendy Faler of Mexico and Bill Faler of Columbus Junction; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; two sisters, Lois Marolf of Moscow and Charlotte Hess of Lowden and half-brother, Edgar Kublik of Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2005, seven sisters and five brothers.
