Funeral for Otis B. Bass, 74, of Hillsboro, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J. Wayne Vickers and J. T. Copeland Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Mr. Bass died Sunday at Decatur General Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sanderson Bass; one son, Kendall Bass of Decatur; three brothers, Tennis E. Bass of Hillsboro, Layton S. Bass of San Antonio, Texas, and Neil M. Bass of Hartselle; four sisters, Mable Rhinehart and Eleanor Weatherwax, both of Moulton, Mary D. Roberts of Hillsboro and Merle Newson of Decatur; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will include Horace Sheats, Larry Terry, Dean Terry, Ralph Ledbetter, Clark Weatherwax Jr. and Ted Weatherwax.
