Rites Thursday For Mrs. Bass

MOULTON -- Final rites for Mrs. Alice Sims Bass, 74, Hillsboro, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dancy Chapel.

Mrs. Bass died at her home at 1 p.m. Tuesday after a long illness. She was a lifelong member of Dancy Chapel Church of Christ.

Rev. A.H. Nabors and Rev. W.O. Norton will conduct the services and burial will be made in Montgomery Cemetery at Wren near Moulton with Brown, of Moulton directing.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. A.C. Rhinehart, Rome, Ga., Mrs. Tommy Terry, Pontiac, Mich. and Mrs. Thomas Newsom, Decatur; four sons, Tennis and Otis Bass, both of Hillsboro; Neil Bass, Decatur, and Layten Bass, Mobile; five sisters, Mrs. Dottie Lamon, Mrs. Judson Stockton, and Mrs. Irvine Sheats, all of Decatur; Mrs. Bertha Fuller, Trinity, Rt. 1, and Mrs. W.O. Thornton, Limestone County, one brother, W.R. Sims, Trinity, Rt. 1; 15 grand children and seven great-grandchildren.
Alice was the daughter of Dan Sims.
