Delford Hendrix, age 99 passed away September 26, 2008 at his home in Witts Springs, Arkansas. He was born November 18, 1908 to Wert Hendrix and Gertie Woodard Hendrix at Horn Mountain, Arkansas. He was a farmer and logger all of his life. He loved to bee hunt, trap, dig ginseng, and garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wert and Gertie Hendrix, his wife Lorene Hendrix, his twin sons Tommy and Johnny Hendrix, a grandson John Thomas Melbourne, two brothers Belford and Thomas Hendrix, and three sisters Ethel Ruff, Edna Laymon, and Ida Dean.

His survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law; Bill and Lucy Hendrix, Kenny and Betty Hendrix and Earl Wayne and Glenda Hendrix, Harold and Mary Beth Hendrix; three brothers; Vernon, Troy, and Earl Hendrix; two sisters; Hazel Hendrix, and Maudie Kiplinger; ten grandchildren Donna, Billy Ray, Leisha, Paula, Utah, Eric, Wendy, Ricky, Shane, and Emily; eight great-grandchildren: Josh, Paul, Colby, Dakota, Braxton, Jacob, Mackenzie, and Shelby, and three great-great-grandchildren: Gary, Jarrod, and Preston, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers include: Billy Ray Hendrix, Utah Hendrix, Eric Hendrix, Ricky Hendrix, Shane Hendrix, and Steve Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Buck Mays, Ardith Smith, Wendell Myrick, Junior Yancey, Guy Dale Blair, Kenneth Blair, Betty Gail Blair and Mary Joyce Estlinbaum.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 6—8 PM at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.

Services will be Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Roller-Coffman Chapel with Donnie Chisum and Larry Don Smith officiating.

Burial will be in the Witts Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home.
