Husband of Arizona Mullins Hall
Married Aug.12,1935
By the request of the family, with sadness in my heart, I will try to write an obituary of my beloved brother, Leonard Hall, born at Etty, Pike county, Kentucky, on April 5, 1915 and departed this life on August 12,1984, making his stay on earth 69 years, four months and seven days. He was the son of the late James Ellis and Judy Bentley Hall. In early life, on August 12, 1935, he married Arizona Mullins. Unto this union were born six children, Little Mary and Martha preceded him in death. Leonard and Arizona had been married forty-nine years on the day he died. He leaves to mourn their loss, other than his wife, one son, three daughters, twelve grandchildren, three step- grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,one brother, Milford Hall of Myra, Kentucky, one sister, Draxie Tackett of Thurman, Ohio and a host of friends and relatives. He spent his working years twenty-two years as a coal miner before going to the steel industry at Great Lakes Steel in the Detroit area, where he worked twenty-four years. He retired in 1978. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 1299. He had a heart attack two weeks before he passed away. My heart was broken that Sunday afternoon when I got the news that my brother had passed away at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit at 9:15 a.m. Leonard was laid to rest in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Flat Rock, Michigan.
