Bill was born on January 28, 1923, to William and Adah Billups in Cherokee, OK. He married Louise Wallace on April 23, 1945, in Foley, AL while in the US Navy. He served his country for 10 years in both World War II and the Korean War.
He graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma and worked as an accountant with Amoco for 30 years before retiring in 1983. Bill was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member of the Navy League, a 32nd degree Mason, Akdar Shrine, Tulsa York Rite Bodies, American Legion, VFW, 40+8 Society, and Oklahoma Alumni Association. He worked over 30 years with the Boy Scouts and received the Flame and Torch Award from the United Methodist Church. He was active for many years with DeMolay and received the Legion of Honor award.
He is survived by: son, David and his wife Renee; daughter-in-law, Peggy; grandchildren, Courtney, Cash, Cody, Keli; and sister Norma Sooby. He was preceded in death by: his loving wife of 59 years, Louise and son, William.
Bill will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Service will be held at 2 pm, on November 3rd at Trinity United Methodist Church, followed by graveside Military and Masonic services at Floral Haven Cemetery.
