Mr. Hackenberg was a veteran of the Civil War having served with the Co I, 49th Regt, P.V.1. Eight of his brothers also served in the Civil War.
He is one of the family of 24 children. His wife preceded him to the spiritual world 15 years ago.
Funeral services were held Monday August 1st. Rev. Gilbert and Jno P. Free officiated.
