GLADNEY, Ethel Entered into eternal rest on Friday morning December 16, 2005, Ethel Claricy McAlhany Gladney widow of W. Marvin Gladney. Residence, Charleston, SC.

The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTH AREA CHAPEL Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Eleven o'clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR NORTH AREA CHAPEL at Ten o'clock until time of service. Ethel was born October 18, 1918 in Branchville, SC, a daughter of John Milton McAlhany and Mitylene Dukes McAlhany. She was retired from Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command. She was a member of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church and The Wally Byam Caravan Club (Airstream Club).

She is survived by two sons; Dennis A. Gladney of Hanahan, SC, Ronald M. Gladney of Isle of Palms, SC, one daughter; Joan G. Byrd and husband Steven E. Byrd of Tallahasee, FL, two grandsons; Justin E. Byrd and Matthew S. Byrd of Tallahasee, FL. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and John McAlhany and a sister, Edna McAlhany.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Place United Methodist Church, PO Box 70396, North Charleston, SC 29405.
