She was born and lived most of her life in Ware County.
She retired from Wainright's Pharmacy (formerly Register and Lanier Drug Store) after many years of service. She was a member of Kettle Creek Southern Congregational Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World. Her passions were cooking pecan pies for other people and spending time with her family.
She was the daughter of the late J.E. "Uncle Bud" Aldridge and Maude Dukes Aldridge ;
also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin "Buck" Smith;
three sisters, Betty Jean Weeks, Louell Dixon and Lillian Brown; and
three brothers, "Cobb" Aldridge, Ed Aldridge and Elbert Aldridge.
Survivors include five children,
Jimmy Smith, of Americus,
David Smith (wife Sandra), of Waycross,
Linda Smith Miller, of Lanett, Ala.,
Billy Aldridge (wife Becky), of Windsor, Mo., and
Bobby Aldridge (wife Louise), of Anniston, Ala.;
10 grandchildren;
six great grandchildren

Joann Razzano, of Clearwater, Fla.;
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Music Funeral Home Chapel , following burial into Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
