Evaline was born in 1849 (not in 1848 per her death certificate) in Indiana Co., PA, the daughter of George Coppick and Mary Mitchell (per her death certificate). She was the twin of Adaline (Coppick) Wineberg. Evaline and Adaline are enumerated with the family of Adam and Mary Tiger (Tyger) in both the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Canoe Twp., Indiana Co., PA; it is not known what happened to their parents.

Evaline married Alphonsus Genere Gallentine ca. 1870. She and her husband both died in S. Mahoning Twp., Indiana Co., PA.

Alphonsus and Evaline were the parents of fourteen children, the names of ten are known:
