Florence was the sixth of nine children. On January 23, 1909, she married Frank Kershner at Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. The couple had five children: Earl Kenneth, Opal LeClaire, Alice Elizabeth, Florine Grace, and Donald Franklyn.

Cause of Death: Bronchial pneumonia
