Mr. Carl Edward Hoffman - 552 Marshall St., Allegan, died in his home this morning. Mr. Hoffman was born January 26, 1902 in Allegan, son of Clare E. and Florence Hoffman. He graduated from Detroit College of Law. Member of Church of the Good Shepherd, the Michigan and Allegan Bar Association, and had practiced law in Allegan for 49 years. He is survived by: his wife, Florence Hunt Hoffman; three children, Samuel D. of Glenn, Michigan, Mrs. Sarah H. Lapp of Birmingham, Mrs. Evelyn H. Keck of Greenfield, Mass.; grandchildren, Kathryn and Sarah Hoffman, Elizabeth, Sarah and Cynthia Lapp, Lisa and Paul E. Keck; one brother, Leo W. Hoffman, Allegan; two nephews John Hoffman of Allegan and Daivd Hoffman of Grand Marais; one aunt, Bess Clemens of Terrabella, Calif. Friends may call at the Allegan Chapel of the Gorden Funeral Residence beginning Tuesday. Funeral services will be held from the Church of the Good Shepherd Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Father Raymond Bierlein officiating. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery. Those who desire may make contributions to the Church of the Good Shepherd or to the Allegan County Cancer Society.
